Today my school had a thing to raise money for the cancer foundation and i sugested to my phys ed teacher that he gets his legs waxed, which are very hairy, and he does, it looked so painful, i was cracking myself with laughter, i even got to do a bit myself, i did one very slow and one very fast, it looked so painfull when he had it done behind his knee, over all i think we raised either $200 (australian) or $400 i havnt got a difinit number yet, ill update u on it
How can the universe be curved

How can the Universe be curved?
I was thinking last night about the theory that the universe is curved and started wondering how they came to that conclusion. I am not sure whether they think we are inside a ball like structure or that we are on the outside, in which case the ball would be required to be somewhat spherical and have a gravitational pull, but how could there be a pull which affects us in no matter what way we where traveling because on earth we only have the four main compass bearing (North, East, West and south) then the ones in-between those i.e. north east. But we can travel up or down as we can in space so it would require a string of spherical gravitational pulls all linked together.
To try and picture what it would be like to traveling in a straight line using this theory, take your one hand and clench it in a fist in front of you then with a finger from your other hand start moving along it as if your were going in a straight line in any direction, this seems like what happens to us on Earth, now try to think if you were to travel up or down off your hand, how could the loop around because you are leaving the gravitational pull so the only way to compensate for this would be to imagine arcs coming off your hand and any direction you go to just travel along this arc. Now what happens if we decide to stray off from our straight line course and make a sharp turn, try to do this with your hand, start going up then make a sharp 90* turn either left, write, back or front, that would either require another arc taking you back to the arc before or just an arc taking your back to the center, no try this process by going up and making several sharp turns, where do you wind up? Very far from your original point. One other thing to try to imagine is instead of going straight into space go with a bit of a curve, the opposite of what we think pulls you back then theoretically you would be going in a straight line right? Well whether it would work or just bring you back to the same point but you take another route well I’m not 100% positive but I think you would probably keep going the “true straight”
Now with things like these to think about it is easy to see why this theory has many floors in it (or maybe mine just does) because you could going and making 90* turns forever and either hit the end of space, just keep on going for eternity and discover that space is infinite or wind up back in the same part as you started which would leave me totally puzzled and annoyed due to the fact that I was awake till 3am thinking about me theory and giving myself one heck of a bad headache.
The only other possibility is that there are more dimensions than we know which would allow for such a complex strain arcs linked together.
My theory of parallel universes
Posted Jan 8, 2003
A parallel universe is easy to imagine if you know what it is but for those who don’t have any idea what it is it is a very hard thing to try to explain to them. You tell them it’s another universe that is created by you choosing to do one thing instead of another, the things that you don’t do which is a heck of a lot when you sit down and think of the number of things that you could do at any point in time. So for each of the things that you could do it is done in another universe that just appears some how. This is the part that people don’t get, how can me not doing something create another universe? It is a very hard question to answer indeed because we have a very small understanding of what a parallel universe really is, it could be outside our galaxy or within our own or just mm away from us in another plane of existence and if u where able to see all of them at once you would see an infinite number of yourself moving around in there day to day lives having absolutely no idea that they are just part of another persons life that didn’t happen, we our selves are most probably a universe of something that someone else didn’t do in there universe.
So this means that its not only just what I don’t do but also the things that I didn’t do in my universes of things I didn’t do and so on, I only went out two because it gives you quite a headache trying to thing of what to put down.
Now a parallel universe can be almost identical to ours even flawless accept that the you in that universe moved his finger a little bit to the left as he was reading this as you are doing now, and as most of you reading this probably went and moved your finger to the left so that, that universe wasn’t created another one was created where you didn’t do it and also where you moved it to different distances so no matter what you do you cant stop them from being created, so some are of very little difference and some of unimaginable difference such as if people thousands of years ago came to their senses and stopped fighting each other for their land and worked together to make developments in science, astronomy and aviation we might be living in several different planets across the universe and have already come in contact with intelligent life forms. But we happen to be in the universe where they didn’t come to their senses and are still fighting to this day.
Alright so we now understand what a parallel universe is but haven’t even scratched the surface of the question “how do we create them by not doing something?” because everything that has ever been created has been done by doing something but this is something for nothing (pretty good deal when you think about it)
But how they are formed i dont know.... yet
What if people thought instead of fought?

Have u ever wondered wat the world would be like now if mean of the past instead of fighting each other for each others land, put there minds together to find liveable planets out in the universe do u think we would have found some and if so would we be able to travel there.
Just one of many of the possible parallel universe scenarios that i think about
If the universe is infinite, then im "a" center, 21+4^1+8+9=42
