Mine definitely wants to be president. He wants to one up his daddy.

Who was it that said wanting to be president should be the first disqualification for getting the job?
And Jodan, I can't stand Santorum. But I truly believe that Bob Casey Jr is the son of satan. So I've got another toss up...
Don't believe that junior is evil? His old man needed a double transplant when he was governor and the police happened to shoot and kill a guy (was he homeless?) whose organs were a perfect match.
Then again, look at our other senator - he's looking more and more like Nosferatu every day.
And what was up with his impeachment vote? 'Not Proved?' Hello?!?
The Keystone State sure loves to put lunatics in public office...

Here I was all excited about talk of Don Knotts being ill and trying to recover while being forced to use a pillow and all I get is political news.

But political news is exciting!
Or at least news of Robert Novak cursing on CNN and storming off is. I watched the video of it a few dozen times. It's priceless. James Carville just sits there smirking and Novak's quite angry.
Ah, life.

I'm sure it would be, if I knew who you were talking about.
We had a similar incident a decade or two back where a, I think he was a radio personality, smashed a glass and stormed off the set.

Well, let's just say that Robert Novak isn't a very pleasant personality. He's a conservative, but one of the few people that liberals, moderates and conservatives all find annoying.

Novak is so arrogant and pompous and bloody minded and usually WRONG! He just infuriates me. His redeeming quality is that he is at least intellectually honest. You always know where Novak stands and what position he will take. Unlike some analysts who search for reasons to support or bash a policy or politician in order to follow the party line. Or at least he used to be. I haven't watched him for ages. He annoys me so much that I turn off the tv whenever he comes on.

When did they take Capital Gang off the air? I stopped watching it months ago - maybe a year ago. Anyway, I went to put it on last Saturday and it was gone. I guess I wasn't the only one who stopped watching.
I bring it up because that program illustrates what I was talking about. Kate O'bierne (or however you spell it) is nothing more than a Republican party mouthpiece. I don't think Dubya could do or say anything that she wouldn't defend. The other pannelists had a decided bias but they were more objective - if only slightly so in the case of Al Hunt and Margaret Carlson. Mark Shields was my favorite of them all. He and Novak could be depended upon to follow their political ideology regardless of who was on the receiving end.

Around when they took Crossfire off the air, I think. They announced Crossfire and Capital Gang were ending at the same time, I remember that.
So that would have been aboot... June?
Novak could always be trusted to overreact during Crossfire, by the way.
Carville has a habit of saying 'Right... right... right' when other people are talking, and Novak once snapped at him and told him to stop interrupting.
Not a good year for Novak, eh? He's had two shows cancelled on him, a CIA leak probe up his butt and now this...

Yeah. His voice was so much more soothing than Brokaw's. He always sounded like a frog with something stuck in his throat to me.
The three news titans are all gone from the air. Rather, Brokaw and Jennings. It all happened so quickly, too.

Do you remember Frank Reynolds? I think he was my all time favorite.
