Well, DT and I have set the date, which is August 6th 2005.
We´ll be getting married in Garðakirkja in Iceland and we will be inviting loads of people to come over from the UK. We have booked the venue, the menu and the wine, the photographer and the music for the church. I have a dress and am working on what DT could wear, at least in my head. He´s being a bit picky - like most men I´m sure he´d really just wear some nice jeans and a nice top. I´d let him too, except I´d look ridiculous in my big dress, and I´d rather not...
Also, we are working on guest lists and will be sending out invites in January so people can book time off etc.

So if you run into me, be warned that I might be a wedding-planner bore.

How wonderful, a wedding-to-besmiley - cheerssmiley - bubbly
Exactly one year ago I was in SriLanka preparing for my wedding. I'd known beloved for 22years, we'd lived together for 12 years and had produced 2 children but the wedding was very important. Life is no different to before except that he has made a public proclaimation of his love for me. That was very special. The whole day was magical.
I hope your plans are going smoothly and that you are looking forward to the big day and the rest of your lives togethersmiley - peacedove

Thank you Meg for your kind wishes smiley - biggrinsmiley - magic

We're indeed on schedule for everything that we want to do for the wedding - still don't have clothes for DancingTree but if he wants to wear jeans, I'm still vetoing it. I'll wear him down eventually smiley - weird

We're quite well matched, really. Both of us are really excited about getting married after postponing it last year due to moving too many times and we're very happy with the way our day is shaping up. I knew it was a good idea when I proposed to him smiley - huhsmiley - ok

I'm glad it's all going well. My husband didn't take anything to wear to the wedding in SriLanka. We luckily met a wonderful seamstress who made him a suit in 24hrs, the day before the ceremonysmiley - yikes Hope your man doesn't leave it quite so late.
