Sometimes I get insomnia. I've learned to deal with it and not worry about it. I just lie there and let my brain ramble on. My brain decides it's not tired and wants to chat. No matter how much I may want to sleep, it wants to play. So I just go with it now. I used to get really anxious about it, which only makes it worse.
This happened two nights ago. I was sorely tempted to get up and hootoo, but that would've made my brain even more active.
Instead I decided to lay in bed and let the mind wonder.
I kept coming back to this weird 'speed of light' thing. I kept trying to imagine that if (say Einstein's wrong) I was travelling toward the sun faster than the speed of light, what would I see? I mean if your moving toward something at a speed faster than it takes for the light from that object to reach you, would you still see it?
Don't I have an interesting brain? Luckily the last two nights, I've had reasonably good sleeps. (If you don't count waking up with a shocking headache- the last vestige of a head cold that makes my ear ache as well.)

It sounds like your brain is having a much better time than you are.
As to being able to see if travelling faster than the speed of light.....I'll try to rig an experiment and we'll check it out.

well Bondi = sunshine = rays of light!
First you need a base line for the experment i suggest a gentle two months or so of gathering data, and then a few weeks of coroberating the data and cross referanceing with other beaches in the local area, even before starting the experment!
Now what was the experment again?? Oh yea i remember,

Oh, well that sounds logical!
I don't have to go all the way to Bondi though. We have some excellent beaches right here in Melbourne. It is a bit cold, though I don't mind the beach in winter. Quite enjoy it in fact.
I think I'd rather do the experiment in space though. Tell you what, you do the beach thing, and I'll grab the next shuttle into orbit

Well I think that being in space could well be the way forward, but its nice to be able to find the funding, that allows you to travle to a nice beach and clear skys!

I would like to take my two dogs (GOD BLESS'UM) into space with me, just like to see them weightless, do you reckon they would look out the window and try to sniff some scent or something like it?? now that would be an interesting experance!

I really wish you hadn't said that, RJR. Now I keep seeing weightless dogs 'swimming' around trying to stick their noses up each other's butts. How about a zero gravity litter box.
The cat would have to catch it to bury it.
