I wish there was a better way to oraganise our conversations. My current conversations are starting to spill over, so I have to 'click here to see more conversations', then I have to look through the same ones all over again to find any that have current postings. smiley - grr

Yeah, me too.
I also worried about never writing an entry. Now it's all I can do to keep up with my conversations.
Maybe one day I'll write an entry.

Wow! Thanks.

How did you do that?
Forgive me if I sound incredibly stupid. I assume the squiggly bits next to each conversation mean something? The 'mark all read' bit could be usefull. Can you also mark them unread, if you want to come back to a conversation later?

How did i do that ,cut n paste in your case, there is a bit of code that you can add to your page to to the same A nos to articles
F nos relate to replies MP nos are from postings made to your personal space, see SEF roadkill traveler in time,or Any aces page for extra clues.

but i barely have a clue with computers and such ,mostly cut-n-paste. I assume the squiggly bits ,smiley - biggrin the Tilthe' i thinks it called ,not sure, press it and see what happens,it is of course a known aid for success if you squeeze your eyes tightly shut, crossing all appendeges you have ,at the same time with any new task, you are attempting ,for the first time.

I have a feeling I may not be viewing it correctly (perhaps I need to look at it on a windows machine) Is this what it's supposed to look like?

I don't suppose you could make it easy on me and tell me what the code is?

BTW, how'm I supposed to see what happens if I squeeze my eyes tightly shut?smiley - winkeye

For someone who doesn't have much of a clue with computers, your space is very cool!

the code is automatic on some nos F8 for instence will take you to that page by hidden link.
All entries are given a no depending on where positioned in the
guide ML base code entries or article have A no reply to these articles are given F nos as well to link convos.

then all these f nos are grouped together under MP no
linked to your U no (displayed in user bar)
so if you
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/U198131
swap U to mp you will have direct add to convos
if you swap classic for alibaster
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/U198131
something different bbc has several skins
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/testuserpage198131

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/MJ198131?Journal=94963&show=15&skip=15
you can change show=15 to any no you want dont forget to change skip.
if you look at last one show your page in code(most of it several bits are hidden) you could try

try changeing preferences to
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/U228352
if you swap my no for your no you will see your page as is plain skin
some researcher say it is easier to write articles in this skin
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/GuideML-Clinic
there are several good entries re newer bits of code
F All that, plus i think the collective has MA nos all use full.

I am using alabaster skin. I was using goo for a while, but I got sick of having to scroll to the bottom of my page to see my conversations. I still think goo is prettier, but alabaster is more practical.

I'm still not entirely sure what logicus means by F nos and MP nos, but I'll check out that last link. Looks interesting.

I hope your trip to the dentist goes okay, H.
