My first trip to a scottish emergency room

Yup, very true. If you get palpitations (ie: feel like your heart is going like the clappers, awful sensation) try asking if beta blockers would be suitable. That's what i have been on for many years, takes the edge off the physical nasties, but doesn't affect your mind.
Yes, forcing yourself to eat is important, at least you have people around, when you are on your own it's really easy to just say "aww, can't be bothered just for me"
Sometimes with depression it's best to maybe accept you feel bad, no way are you going to suddenly "snap out of it", but try not to wallow in it either (very difficult), when i go down i just try & say "OK, today i feel like s**t, but tomorrow i will probably feel less like s**t, which is progress of a sort"
Anyway, you are NOT alone with this, many of us have also been there & care about you & if you *can* manage to even just lurk a bit if typing's too much right now, it's keeping up a form of contact with the outside world.
How many kitties do you have? I bet it's hilarious watching kiddies & kitties together!
take care nyss, look after yourself

trust me--since this was brought about by nothing i can suss and was worse than anything, i will be getting therapy. my doctor just wants this crisis to level out first.

Glad it's a bit better now, stay; love to all of you. Keep in touch: it really does help to know you aren't alone when the nasties bite you!
