Hmm..the word salve is much like the word salvation. I wonder which I need .
Things are not going well. Noooootttt wellll..... If any of you are hiding super hero powers, let me know. Though you can't email me, because our webhost went bunk . Well, that's not true..I can be mailed at my old university account..assuming that doesn't get deleted soon. James and Mom aren't talking, the kids are freaking out, James and I keep arguing about Javascript, which I'm sure hides the real undertones, though I must stress that we are still getting along. We have to ...we're in survival mode! I have no energy and waste the little I have coding a new page. Which still sucks, needless to say.
OK, the thing is...normally, I have a backup plan emergency override thing in place for when the situation is too fubr-ed to salvage (ooOOoo..another word like save). Things is..now I don't. I let it all go to the wind - I have no car, I have no home, no money to speak of...my only lifeline is that hardly tolerable job. That would be ok except we won't survive the 6 months requisite for us to save enough to move to england..and I..can't..fix..it. I don't know what to do. I feel worse than out of control - I feel responsible for *as well as* in control of a ship that looks like it will sink - and my hands are tied around the mast so I can't fix anything nor can I escape. James feels similarly. The big feersum variable is how long we'll stay afloat. Given data I have already, I give us two weeks . Mner..life is funny. It's when you know you can't run away that you suddenly become a flight risk. And break your neck pulling at the leash .

Chin up, our kid. I would say e-mail me, but obviously you can't. and I'm not in a position to htype long diatribes atm.
Let me pass on an invaluable piece of advice I was given once, though.
Breathe first. Everything else can wait.

I'm with Blues on the breathing. Suck in a big chunk of air, get your head down and plough through it all.
It will be fine. It has to be fine. You will be fine.

I'll try . I just hate the whole impotency thing.
Funny..when Amy P writes a despondent journal, the masses flock. People only linger in *my* journal when the content is of questionable taste .

Not true, Nyssa, some linger and care about what happens to you, even if they appear to be total strangers.

Ach, I would post, but I have nothing helpful to say. I can say that I'll hold your hand, listen to you, help you if I could- but I have no advice or any sort of an opinion. And I hate saying simply 'It'll be okay' because I know that personally it's not what I'd want to hear.

I always read your journal entries, and I'd post something but I don't know you or your situation well enough to be able to offer what I consider to be well reasoned advice.
As others can surely tell you, that's probably a *good* thing.

Well..there's hardly any advice for this situation other than the admonishment for me to just deal with it, for christ's sake. But as Homer Simpson once said 'Thank you for your pity.' (didn't mean to guilt trip, btw.)
lessee blues..you posted 22 hours ago. if i'm online another 2 hours...but alas! it's saturday...
hehe..i think the most meaningful consolation must have come from saturnine..I mean, when she gets lovey, you know she must really mean it (or that she's about to pull a Judas )

Hehe. I never know what else to say. So I figure if you know at least one person loves you, you will feel better.
