Got my ticket - and - after swearing he didn't want to go hubby decided he does want tosmiley - huh (something about me going along to paragliding with him and him being worried about me going on my own...silly muppet doesn't realise I only go along paragliding because I quite like it and that once he's seen what people are like at glasto he won't be worried anymore about me being on my ownsmiley - doh).

So I've got 2 tickets smiley - biggrin Now we've got to try to find somewhere cheap to rent a campervan from (hubby has said he WILL NOT CAMPsmiley - sadface) and a robust scooter for getting around the site (alternatively we need to persuade the nice Mr Eavis that our quad bike wont ruin his farm and squish his festival goers).

So all change. I don't know whether hubby will still want to come when he finds out it's going to cost £400 to rent a crappy VW campervan for the week but even if he changes his mind we'll just sell his ticket on to someone for the same price it cost us (it's so anti-glastonbury to rip off fellow partiers) and I'll go back to my original plan.

It's a shame really, I'll have to get used to having a little less freedom to act like a nutter and I went to all the trouble of checking my tent was ok this weekend toosmiley - erm

It's worth trying to persuade Mr Eavis. He's a very nice man. (Much nicer than his brother the (ex)headmaster... smiley - laugh)

Mr Eavis says no go on the quad bikesmiley - sadface

And for the price of hiring a campervan we've decided we might as well just buy a caravan...so it's just a case of trying to find some nice company to sponser/loan a powertrike for the week and we're all systems go.

Hubby still has reservations and if it looks like it will be a mudfest I think I'll definately have a ticket to sellsmiley - erm

Bizarrely found out that hubbys mate at work (who sits next to him) is one of the bods behind the glasto websitesmiley - ok so we've got a direct contact (instead of paying 50p a minute to phone the helplinesmiley - yikes)

There are still tickets on aloud.com - ticketmasters website was the only one I know of that sold out. Mr Eavis reportedly said they sold about 15,000 tickets yesterday out of 150,000 available so they are still around. (they are selling on ebay for £400 a pairsmiley - yikes)

we've withdrawn our tickets from ebay, and are going to sell them somewhere where we'll only get face value, and no risk of them being cancelled!

smiley - ok

I'm not going to sell my spare until much nearer the day (I might even wait until I get them)

The ebay stuff is getting worse - there are tickets that are at £2000 for a pair... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2906139.stm they are officially trying to stop the overpricing people.

Also theonlineticketshop has had their tickets stopped too so even people who thought they were buying from a semi-official site are finding out they wasted their time/moneysmiley - yikes
