EE I'm a bit confused. Did you say that Cambridge have rejected you? If they have, what now? Another university? Another course? Or is it too early to say? Me being nosey again!!

They have rejected me...
...I'm asking for feedback from my interview, which hopefully I'll get soon
I'm a bit torn as to now... I'm obviously sticking with the philosophy track, but I don't know where... There's one other uni that I'm wating to find out from, which I /really/ want to go to... Other than that, I'm going to wait till I find out from everyone before I make my decision now

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Did you know Ricky Gervaise studied philosophy?

Thankyou
No, I didn't know that, but the next time someone tells me that I'm about to embark on studying a useless degree, I shall tell them that

EE. Studying a degree is all about how to organise your thought processes into a logical whole. It's not about the subject you study.
The subject is important from a personal point of view (i.e whether you can put up with the subject for three or four years, and the other people on the course). It's all about having the discipline needed to study a subject at that level for that amount of time. So there is no such thing as a useless degree. There may be subjects which are more suited to the "job market" than others, but don't let anybody tell you what you're doing is worthless!!

I've been trying desperately to explain that to people for the best part of...well, several years! I've given up! It's rare to find someone in employment doing something directly related to their degree - well, unless they studied to be doctors, of course.
I'm glad to see someone share my view, I was beginning to think I'd made it up...

I think philosophy is under estimated subject to study, because it can be used wide range of other business and scholing subjects later in life.
