well Mr postie hammers on the door this afternoon, awakening me from a nice pleasent nap I might add 
.
He had two packages *dances*
My dad did a lot of grumbling about the fact that he never gets any packages and heres me getting two, anyway I digress, One of the packages contained a box of cookies

the other was an empty shoe box 
Dad: What is it
Me: it would appear to be an empty shoe box
Dad: maybe someone is trying to tell you something
Me: what? That they've discovered my shoes are really expensive because I have really big feet and they thought they'd just send the shoe box, going on the whole 'it's the thought that counts' clause?
Dad: no like a mafia thing
Me: Mafia thing?
Dad: Yes
Me: *sighs* Dad really I think the mafia have better things to do than send me empty shoe boxes.
Dad: no you know sending ears through the post and that
Me: *shows dad THE EMPTY shoe box* dad it's empty there are no ears or fingers or other body parts in it.
Dad: maybe someone took it out?
Me: Dad it was wrapped up no-one had opened it, besides who'd want an ear?
Dad: The Police
Me: they would have contacted me wouldn't they to see why I'm being sent randomn body parts 
*I am really get completely fed up with this conversation at this point*
Dad: maybe they want you to think it hasn't been tampered with and they are right now watching you to see what you'll do
Me: *sighs* I'm going to throw it away dad because its an empty shoe box! *I walk over to the bin to prove my point*
Dad: Whoa! thats a perfectly good shoe box *takes it from me* I can pop my daff bulbs in that *proceeds to pop it on top of the kitchen cupboards then wonders off in the direction of the sitting room*
is it me or do parents get worse with age?

Maybe t's the cucaracha mafia sending you a warning about stomping their friends and thusly, they've taken out a contract on your shoes.

I've heard it said that the Cucaracha Mafia have extremely long memories, if not actual life-spans. I'd recommend caution putting any shoes on for a while ...

Maybe it's one of these charities that do 'Fill a shoe box for Xmas' and they got a bit ahead of themselves

yea but it was sent to me, surely if that was the case they've have sent it to my dad
unless they're trying to pull me in to Noooooooooooooooo! I don't want to be cuddling down with a cup of tea and tartan slippers!!!!!
