I miss Ryan (Tuc) terribly

If he were still alive we could go out together on the bikes like we used to.


If he were still alive I'd still be living down south and I'd be nearer to Jack

If he were still alive I wouldn't be so attached to this web site and feel that I can't leave because I'm leaving him behind.

Please don't be tempted to post any cr@p about "oh you should go he wouldn't want you to be unhappy" it's not as simple as that, he's here and it's all I have left of him.

I know how it feels to lose someone who means the world to you. All the things you used to do change. No I'm not going to post any "cr@p".

I'll be here if you need to offload

Cal I can't say I know what you're going through with Jack.. but about missing Tuc.. I do understand about that..

I don't know if this will help but it has helped me over the years. This past Sunday was Ted's bday - he would have been 40. No doubt I'd be ragging him on officially being an "old man" instead of having died far too young. My sister was the oldest so I would be the only one able to pick on both of them.

I do things that we would have enjoyed together. Sometimes talking to my brother and sister in my mind as if they were there. As you know with my family it would most likely be in the kitchen. If they were still around, Sunday would no doubt have been the same. With my bro trying to boss everyone around because he was a *cough* real chef, and my sis threatening to whack him with a wooden spoon, spatula, rolling pin, whatever was in her hands. Sometimes it makes me melancholy but it also keeps me in touch with them.

As far as h2g2 goes well that's up to you. But stay in touch with him in little ways - the ones that feel right to YOU - and even though he's not around he'll help you get through things. Sometimes it will make you happy, sometimes sad, sometimes both at once. But it will get you through. I wear my brother's apron whenever I cook and I talk to my sister (who was always in hospital) when I spent all that time sick, and now whenever I go for a scan. </>

If you need me I'll be there. As will your other friends and family.
