I’m being watched! It’s not constant observation but he’s been there for a while now and it’s not the first time this has happened.
The chap in question (and I’m assuming he’s a chap because he’s quite beefy) is a squirrel.
*peers over the top of the computer screen*
Hmmm, I wonder how long he’ll be there this time.

He's gotta be male.....don't forget, females run around doing umpteen things in one go.
If this one is just sat there in the middle of the day, doing nothing, it has to be male!

Grey or Red? If 'tis grey you can borrow my crossbow
Shouldn't he/she be off burying nuts or something?

Odo Posted Oct 14, 2003
He was examining his tail a few minutes ago....... then he was disturbed by something, he's gone now.
It was a grey, there aren't any reds round here.
I’d more accurate with an air riffle; I’ve never handled a crossbow.

an 'air riffle'? What does that do? Send small ripples trhrough the air in the general direction of said squirrel in the hope it catches a cold?
Bows are cool, but crossbows are better
(I spent at least 5 mins trying to work out a) why you could not tell that this person who was watching you was male or female and b) what it was about their behaviour in your library which lead to you describing them as a squirrel, before realising that the being in question actually *was* a squirrel. )

I've got the lem-sip in my holsters and it's tissues at 20 paces.
One of these days I'll actually learn to spell!!
I’ve never really tried it, archery that is. It was on the ‘to do’ list, but I seem to have a few time problems. One of these days……..
I’m a better shot than my brother with an his rifle (which had him a tad miffed what with him being the game keeper and all ) but then that’s only with a stationary target, I’m not sure I could hit something that was moving.

Ictoan - I can usually work out which is which amongst the students, but with some of the livestock round here the distinction is not so clear.
I didn't mean you to think the creature was in the library!!! Now that really could cause havoc.
Under Observation!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Oct 14, 2003
more havoc than the students?
Nah, I thought initially that you had a student admirer!
Stil gone? Or has it come back yet? Probably try to sus you out to see if you will ally with the squirrels in their eternal battle with the Dormice

Well if it got trapped in a room full of students who are scared of small fury animals……
Hmmm, ‘not recently’ to your second point!!
He hasn’t returned yet, but then the path outside the library is the quickest route to the buses for most of the students.
I think I’d rather support the dormice.

I see the spoons are out again.
My observer has obviously gone to ground for the evening, he must have overheard the words crossbow and arrows.

I at least expected him to stick around and give as good as he gets..........he did realise it was a joke didn't he!!

Probably. Perhaps he just didn't want to play.
I suspect he's got a fairish amount of paperwork to sort through atm as he's out on a school placement.
