A new language!
Odo Started conversation May 9, 2003
Apparently our printer server has had a ‘head crash’. Now I find this a little confusing. I’ve been keeping an eye on the thing all week, (it sits next to me, I don’t spend all day watching the hard drives ) and it hasn’t moved at all, not even to do a little shuffle.
So unless it sprouts legs during the night and spends its time toddling about the desk, our technician has obviously flipped. He’s been here too long!

Hello
Two of them (technicians that is, not hard drives - as far as I know)have now started talking double-Dutch with lots of numbers thrown in. I’m sure it’s all perfectly logical and sensible really, but I bet all it really means is that they want to make it to the canteen early so that they can lay hands on a bacon and cheese baguette before they all sell out.
Hard drive still showing no signs of life.

It's probably just that they forgot to oscillate the jennywrangler when they connected the gabberflux interface to the UXIRM frontend.
It's a common problem.

Its ok I’ve worked out how to manage these machines, treat them like the car. Keep them oiled and watered, speak to them nicely when they’re working, hit them with clue-by-four when they’re not, and make a sharpish exit when they start shooting sparks across the room.
I’m not dead yet, and most of them still work.

Could be good - depends how they're using their printer servers, but assuming they're a central storage, then I suggest backing up your E drive to your C drive - unless they're farmed servers.

Yes, but it's probably called 'pigeon' or 'aardvark' or something equally preposterous!
