“ I don’t believe it!!!!”
The last day of term and the heating has broken yet again. 
Or rather that should be 
.
It’s very busy in here atm, students panicking trying to finish assignments and tutors looking for cowering individuals who are 
a little behind.
Everyone who walks in through the door stops to comment “Oh, it’s cold in here, has the heating broken down again?” No actually, I like sitting in a freezer gradually loosing the feeling in my fingers. 
Who cares? Not I! I’ve got just over a week off and I’m off traveling tonight.

Ah well, 'tis a little known fact that serious academic study is an endothermic reaction. Therefore the end of term rush has overloaded the heating system and it broke. If they studied and worked in a more constant manner this wouldn;t happen.
So it's all their fault. But i'm sure you knew that already 
to warm ye!

It turns out that we can't blame the students this time. They forgot to order the oil, again, and now the sluge in the bottom of the tank has gummed up the boiler.

I believe you're right - learning is endothermic:
Knowledge = Power
Power = Energy
Energy = Heat
Therefore, your students are draining the heating system every time they come into the library.
On the plus side, it is a nice warm day, and you might be able to sneak the afternoon off.
