I'm ashamed to say it, but the WD40 is at my parent's house. Maintaining engines is something I'm going to have to learn about. I keep the car going (well it moves), but I've yet to change an oil filter.

WD40 is also an excellent de greasant and water proffer and as such should be liberally sprayed over everything.

Oh, and it's use in maintenance is purely to allow you to *undo* things, therefor it is far more conducive to your bike being off the road than on!

I'd gone by the time you posted again Ictoan. Gorilla snot? There is a pot of Swafeega (sp?) on the window sill in the kitchen.

It's Ralph, I'm sure most people use WD40. Just be careful about what you actually use it for.
