smiley - hug Poor Icky, well if your not talking I hope whatever's going on I hope it sorts itself out soon.

The library is still full of sports students, they have some sort of external assesment coming up and they are a 'little' behind with their work. They've been staked out in the computer room by a couple of tutors all week and are becoming slightly restless. Roll on the weekend.

smiley - wow I'm going out for a bike lesson on Saturday, hope the weather cheers up a bit.

smiley - cheers for the thoughts guys!

You go Odo! I do hope it clears up a bit for your test, but you have to ride in the p*ssing rain and the snow and through mud and ice and so on for a few years so that you can then go 'been there, done that, lets use the car!'

Ar, when i were a lad, I remember riding through blizzards with both feet on the ground and turning up looking like a mobile Hells Snowman smiley - smiley

Wot they got you riding?

smiley - biggrin I certainly hope the it doesn't rain all day tomorrow. I've not booked a test as yet, but hopefully I'll do one early in the spring sometime.

I'll be on a 125 for most of tomorrow. What I really want to know is if I'm tall enough to be able to cope with a 5oocc because there's a Suzuki I could use (depends how drunk my friend was when the offer was made smiley - winkeye) in the garage.

IctoanAWEWawi

what 500cc is it? And how tall are you?

Just remember, if you turn up somewhere on a bike, soaked from head to foot and dripping water everywhere, no matter how well or how affectionately you know the person you are visiting, they will laugh at you. It's the law I'm afraid smiley - smiley

500 ain;t big. Well, unless it's a traily or something!

I think it's a Suzuki SR 500E (is this possible?) I'm not 100% sure that I've got the right letters though or if they're in the right ordersmiley - erm. I'm just over 5ft 3". I suppose as he's buying himself a new one to use whilst he's working in Europe and he wants something a bit bigger he wouldn't mind too much if the seat needed to be cut out a bit.smiley - smiley

smiley - laugh Is that why you have to carry a smiley - towel?

OK, well, SRs are Yamahas.
There is such a thing as an SR500, which is a road bike with a 500cc single in it borrowed from the XT500. Big singles are notoriously fun to start smiley - smiley It is an old bike as well.....late 70's early 80's?

The 500E is a Suzuki and is a GS. It's a commuter bike and quite small really, uses a twin cylinder engine, very good as a bigish first bike but you will bore of it quickly (but if it's free....) and 5'3" shouldn;t be too much of a problem on it.

* Roars in, scoops up pheloxi and places him on a very comfortable pillion seat. He's now smiley - magic wearing full protection with ear muffs under his helmet. *

All set then? smiley - biggrin

It's definitely a Suzuki 500, I told you I couldn't remember exactly what type. Anyway hopefully I'll be able to manage it, and it'll give me something to get started on. smiley - erm Being a reasonable size it might stop certain people worrying about me a bit, possibly, smiley - erm that's a bit doubtful really.

HO hum, we'll see how it goes tomorrow.
