Me and a Milkshake Started conversation Aug 4, 2002
Back from band camp, yay! Six blisters on my feet (three a piece). They are in better condition than last year, I must say.
We had a party Thursday night. I didn't cry throughout the entire senior/freshman meeting that is really depressing and sad. I really did not. Until Kelley spilled hot wax from her candle on to my hand. And when I got back, I started crying, too. But the wax thing was what started it all. Yeah. I will blame it on that. Hot wax hurts, kids.

Band camp? Pardon my ignorance, but does that imply that you play some kind of instrument and if so - which?
That meeting - was it about meeting people or departing?

The meeting on Thursday was pretty much an initiation for Freshmen and a departure for Seniors. It becomes rather sappy and depressing for lack of a better description. Basically, the Seniors discuss their memories of being in band and why they have enjoyed it and explain to the Freshman what it is all about. It is a bit difficult to explain.
I am a clarinet, by the way.

I am a flute - not that I play much nowadays - I've been concentrating on dancing (Flamenco) the last couple of years
Playing in a band is great - much more fun than by yourself!
