Maybe you should find somewhere near where you work that you can safely store it to prevent it from getting stolen. I once belonged to my shool's rowing club, but quit because they regularly wrecked bikes, among other acts.

Where I work you have to have a bike pass (which they give you at the gate) so if anyone doesn't hand one in as the cycle out they get stopped and questioned
