Floyd Landis is amazing.

It really looked like he couldn't possibly win it, after a "meltdown" in the Alps just a couple days ago, which put him 10 minutes from the lead.

And yet he did it - and did it on a bum hip joint that has been essentially destroyed by an arthritis causing injury from 3 years ago!

I love it when some local boy makes good.

This article is from the local paper this morning, before he had "officially" won - but I like the article, because it tells a lot about him, and his background.

Apparently, nobody cares.

Oh, come now, I care a lot. Lance Armstrong and Jake Gyllenhaal watched the racers go by from the top of Alpe d'Huez. Soon they will start filming a movie about Lance, and if that goes well, chances are there'll be a movie about Landis too in a few years.

(There's a lot of confusion about who will play Lance in the movie. The movie websites indicate that it'll be Matt Damon. Some blogs hint that it'll be Jake. I wouldn't be surprised if it was *both*, portraying Lance at different ages.)

Do you mean Jake as in 'Body by Jake'? A bit too muscly to play Lance I'd have thought
