Summer starts here .
Elder son is now on holiday until October! Our alcohol consumption has suddenly increased considerably - what a bad influence these young people are .
The house is full of music, unpacked boxes and dirty washing and we are a family of four again .

My son is extremely fortunate in having a regular holiday job to go back to, which he enjoys, it pays well & includes free food!
Washing machine currently churning away.........

Daughter 2 has come back with a UCAS form and is talking about going to Oxford Brookes Uni, this is because she's confident of getting the grades they want (B C C) I think she can get A A B, but she's afraid of losing out on somewhere that does the history course she wants.
What sort of way is this of picking universities - she hasn't even got her AS results yet !
(Speaking as someone who still has all 6 at home)

It's a dreadful race these days - the earlier you get your form in, the better & so on. At least she knows what she wants to do - hope the AS results are to her satisfaction.

Will let you know in August - could be stressful time in our house -
No. 1 awaiting A Level Results,
No. 2 awaiting AS Results,
No. 3 awaiting GCSE results.
Won't that be nice.

Somewhat - Tim actually start school in September ( He's only 4 - its too young) and eldest hopes to be off to Uni, Daughter 2 is already stressing, and daughter 4 - who doesn't have a predicted grade below A - is worried about her course work, because we're taking 2 weeks off to go to Menorca next week.
I'm so grateful they don't take after me with regard to school work.

I'm sure she can do some of her course work on holiday if she's that worried! Hope you have a fun time
