I have to keep fending off my selfish father... "Get off the computer,- I want to go to bed/the typing noises keep me awake (even though it's from a different room)." <- I don't believe telling him to try shutting the door next time will do much to improve the situation, since when I asked him why he was so 'sensitive' all of a sudden he got mad.
