Tomorrow i am going to see about getting my hair cut. I haven't been to a hairdressers in over two years. Why? Because i have preferred the DIY method of hacking chunks off it yourself in the bathroom mirror.
What has spurred this on? Well all my friends are doing it for one, and 2 i want to look good for once (i don't know maybe i'm growing out of the scruffy teenager look).
I don't know how i'll face the hairdressers, they are just so intimidating. Everything else i am fine with i can cope with heights (even though my knees tremble) and i can cope with spiders and insects that fly at my face, but hairdressers...hmmm

Hey there,
Well, you really need just to remember to breath and look as if youre in control. If they really thing youre in control they will behave just like regular people who are cutting your hair.
It is actually only about handling one person at a time, sou you should be OK At first handle the receptionist, this is easy to do (She in't going to touch your hair or something like that), then the shampoo person is quite simple to handle too, because nothing is really being cut, and no sharp objects are used.
Then it's a trick you can do. Just say something to someone on the way to the chair where the deed will be donem this way you'll have 3 people handeled behind you and only 1 to go
Take it from a guy that is scared of spiders

Oh deep breaths!
Right i'll keep that in mind, i did have to go in the other day to make an appointment (you know my hairdressers wasn't open on monday - very strange - anyway) and i managed that very well. I have a knack of being able to seem confident when i'm not at all. It's one of the few neat tricks i have, apart from being able to strike a match whilst holding the matchbox all in one hand (terribly useful skill i know)
Countdown till thursday one o clock and then it's the snip!!

Well, I know hairdressers in Israel are closed monday also, because there's a lot of work on tuesdays (It is considered lucky to get married on a tuesday, bucause of biblical reasons If you want I'll explain, just say so).

Well, by now youre well cut and after the aftermath of looking in the mirror and discovering your new look
Tuesday is lucky because in the genesis book (first book of the bible, where the world is created and humanity is nearly destroyed afterwards), after every day of creation god said he sees what it created as good, and it is mentioned teice on the third day (there's a sayinhg in hebrew tht says "paamaim Ki Tov" which means "Twice 'as good'".
So how did it go, and hoe do you like the results? Guess I'll go check your Jurnal, ciya
Peace,

Yeah it's good, i got a bit worried when i went in because the hairdresser started getting very excited and telling me about all these long strands she was going to put in etc etc, but it's nice and short and managable which is good, she used about half a tub of grease on my hair though.

I used to obsess over ham sandwiches whilst in Africa. I longed for them day and night. Now i'm a veggie i can no longer eat meat so that's where that part comes from and the MM bit... stands for me being the minister of maroon. I thought my name would be a little too long if i didn't abbreviate it, all very simple really

i think it is not a good idea to sit all day on computer. it can cause a lot of wrist hurt and is also not so good for mental health.
maybe adding a lot of drinking can help but still you can do a lot of other things, like making faces to kids at the park, or looking at flowers.

Yeah you really haev to be a trained proffesional to be able to sit the whole day in front of a computer, I'm afraid i flunked all my exams so i'm just going to have to go and live in the real world. Ah well,
*skips down to the park to smell the roses and get beaten up by all the young kids there*

I love kids, even when they beat you up. My *current* roomates' nephew was in the appartment last week, his name is Dali (the roomates' name is Gala, isn't that ?) and he's a cute little brat. We played, made noise, ruined stuff and made the place dirty, It was a lot of fun (We get along so good together. Were only 20 years age difference).

I know kids are great fun to play with, i used to work as an assistant teacher and playtimes were always the best fun. I was also a nanny for a while so i felt just like their big sister telling them stories and taking them to the park... and i got paid for it!
