After some years of a horrable and contempting life, I have now been 'improved' to the status of OK,
I have been given a place in my local college to do a full time course in which I couldn't have entered because I don't have the entry GCSEs But because of my skill in IT and CT I was allowed in.
I have also and this is the big one been given a job, after so long a time of sending letters and writing CV's I have a job as a Web Desiner and Programmer and am quite well off in this respect, bcause most companies won't touch a 16/17 year old will a very big long stick. somthig to do with trust.
So wish me well on my Voyage though Space, Time and Life

Oh definately, I totally agree - the whole point of university is to teach you how to write 2000 words on a topic you have no idea about! It's called "getting you ready for the real world", or "how to spin crap: 101"

I think thats why I found college and school so boring, the subject matter was tought and then I'd be asked to practice my Rhetoric, I have no need to it's perfectly fine as it is, which is direct and meaningfull which is compleatly the oposite of what Rhetoric means.

So in that case you /shoul/ ahve been practicing your rhetoric, to mkae it less direct and more wishy-washy!! I'm haveing trouble at the moment - I LOVE the subject matter but I can't force myself to write the essays!

thats what I mean, know you stuf, don't speak garbage and if your going to tell somebody somthing tell then strait.
It's a joke on people who think that Rhetoric is important, I can become Rhetorical at any point I just don't like to.

Exactly...I'd much rather absorb knowledge than reproduce it, and if I reproduce it then I'll put in an EASY TO READ form, so that everyone can understand it. If they want me to crap on for pages and pages about nothing, I'm able to do that, but I just don't see the point.

don't get me /started/ on politics!! I did the first two weeks of a politics subject this year - talk about bore you to tears!! It was awful - so many people standing around going "look at me, I'm so clever because I speak in words that are ten syllables long"...SO pretentious and nasty!!
