Just when you think things are getting better...

As far as I knew she was doing fine lately. I was going to call her on Friday but I forgot. I thought, no biggie, I'm sure we'll be going down to see her soon. We were going to visit today I think... but not now.

No, I won't. But she really would have appreciated the call. She was always really happy whenever I called her. It's just a shame that I didn't.

Oh ff! I'm so very sorry!
I'm sure you loved her very much and would have liked to see her one more time. Please feel some comfort in knowing that she would have understood... this was so unexpected!
My heartfelt thoughts and sympathy are with you and your family now. May you all find peace and consolation from the love and care of eachother and supportive friends during this sad time.
For your grandmother

ladies. My dad has to go to their house today and he says it's not a good idea for me to go with him. I hope he'll be alright as well though. And I'm worried about how my grandfather is going to cope. He is pretty dependant on her. She was a very tough lady.

He's doing well so far, but it just happened this morning.
Anyways, I have to head out now. I'll be back later today.

Oh, poor FF!
It seems to have happened very suddenly; grandad will be in a hell of a state; poor guy, & your dad too.
As people say, don't reproach yourself for not contacting her or being there, you weren't to know. You could be constantly at someones bedside but pop out to the loo & then they go, life is like that.
RIP grandma.

Oh, FF. I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. May she rest in peace. And I hope your dad, your grandpa, and you might know a little peace in the midst of the sadness.
You have my deepest condolences. A smiley can barely convey the thoughts I'm sending your way. Hang in there, love.

Thanks everybody. I feel very crowded lately. I was at a memorial a few months ago, a funeral yesterday and now this. I think her funeral is on Thursday. This will be a rough week.
(Special hello to fiery, haven't "seen" you in ages!)
for everyone.
