I'm okay. I'm stressed to hell, feeling that everything I do is destined to fail and crash and burn, but I'm okay. Thanks.
It's just that I've been running around like a mad fool ever since I got back trying to co-ordinate an event with no support from the rest of the Student Exec. whatsoever, and the one thing I actively delegated because I really really didn't have time, was the publicity.
I asked both the publicity officer, and the charities officer as it was a charity event. Now, because they didn't do it, we've had no entries, no tickets sold, no nothing. The college we're working with on this are doing okay, be we've not raised a penny so far. The event is on Monday.
So now the others not only want me to cancel out weeks of dashing around, making phone calls, spending all my print credit on printing letters, tickets, etc. (this started about 1 month before I went away) by cancelling the event - they want me to look an even bigger moron and make the calls to the venue, the other college, the bands and other involved parties myself.
I was so busy and hectic on Sunday, that about 2 minutes after I swallowed the last bite of my sandwich/lunch, It all came back up again. I've not slept for 2 nights either.
So I think tomorrow I'll taking the day off to stay in bed, and ignore the world. But of course I've got Law, and to arrange the other event and the demo attendance and.....

Poor you! I would take a day off and relax. Try to think about other things and not anything to do with this.

That's what I'm doing. I called in sick today, and so am sitting at home on my own, on the net a bit, listening to some horrendously loud music (I'm glad all my neighbours work!!!) and watching a film or two before I go out for my late shift at work. Just a bit of shelfstacking.
I'm feeling a bit better already. My Law teacher won't be too happy though. I got a really low score in the test yesterday because my mind was all over the place, and I'm missing a lesson today. He's a great bloke though - I'm sure he'll understand when I explain. And with IT, I'm so far ahead as it is, that he's even given me Tuesdays of to work.
I love college. The work and the teachers are a great bunch of people - it's just the other students that get to me!!!
Thanks, for your concern and for the advice.

Took the day off college. Took till lunchtime to stop shaking!!! Went to work in the evening for a bit of calm and relaxation. Ended up walking across the tops of narrow shelves putting the fallen Christmas decorations back up!!! Dangerous, but fun!
Back in today, shaking again - but a little calmer than Tuesday! Probably won't end up chucking up my lunch again today.

I have now explained this to our SSLO:
1. I refuse to do everything myself,
2a. The Constitution's word IS law, and as such must not be ignored,
2b. We MUST have a by-election for a new Entertainment/Events officer.
3. I refuse to be made ill having to do everyone else's jobs,
4. I will continue on the Exec. if we all attend an in-house training event run by the regional office to get ourselves together as a team, and the Constitution I spent weeks writing and getting checked is accepted by the Exec. as a legal document which we must follow.
So there - no more Mr. Nice Guy...
... or in my case - No more Mr. Nice-Vice-President-Communications-Officer-Webmaster-Regional-Bod.

I'm shaking again. Probably anxiety about the Union meeting in 2 hours time.

Repeat after me:
"I will survive.
It's not the end of the world.
The world is not out to get to me.
(Well, no more than it's out to get everyone else.)
Who cares about anyone else anyway.
I'm amazing.
I will survive.
..." (etc.)

IM - do you remember that recurring dream I told you about? The one about people chasing me and ending up in a field covered with fog?
Hampden Park rugby field looked just like that this morning. I nearly walked around it for fear of it all coming true - but in the end I just walked across it like usual. Nothing happened though - didn't get chased or feel like I was trying run through a swimming pool.
Phew!
