not cut out to not work

Well today I went into the bathroom to get a shower and realised the sink needed a clean and then so did the bath and might as well do the loo whilst I am here..half an hour later I get in the shower. I get out and go to get dressed...only no clothessmiley - yikes
I left them on the dining chair in the kitchen, before I started the cleaning.This is an old miners cottage, modernised and the bathroom is downstairs.Unfortunately anyone going past can see right through the house to where I will be standing dripping to collect my clothes. I picked the largest bath towel and just went for it...So if anyone got a shock of seeing a large wet almost naked lady streak past the window they were being nosey through this morning....Yes it was me.smiley - laugh
So far I have cleaned the bathroom, hoovered, emptied the bins, sorted the re-cycling,done two loads of washing and used some left over apples to make an apple crumblesmiley - puff.....by then it was almost 10am.
This is not going to fill my days is it? sigh. I hope I hear some news about my research proposal soon.smiley - grovel
I am not cut out to be a housewife. The good news though was I was able to clean the bathroom without having an asthma attack.Which goes to prove it was the college library making me illsmiley - ok
On that note a question..Is it libel or slander if someone says you are faking your illness despite two consultants and a professor confirming it as not only genuine but life threatening? AND...would the consultants be libelled/slandered or yourself??Yes you can guess this came to me via a colleague that the senior tutor and principal are spreading this. Should I be very naughty and tell the consultants ,especially as one of them is quite abrasive and would be most angry.smiley - grr
Answers on a post card etc. smiley - rofl
I have started writing again though and have made a promise to myself to write for an hour every day ,even if it is rubbish,to keep my hand in. At this rate I might get some of my book written.smiley - smiley
smiley - hug to all .have a lovely day.

Libel is the written word.. and Slander the spoken.

Lil the fact they are saying this just shows the sort of people they are. I really can't be bothered to respond but it amused me to think of frightening them a bit with a solicitor's letter.smiley - evilgrin
My solicitor, a lovely young man, said he hoped no else has to go through what I've been through, as he thought it horrendous.
However as there are several medical students at the college ...I think it will get back to the consultants anyway.As you reap so shall you sow...or some such sayingsmiley - ok

T.B. Falsename ACE: [stercus venio] I have learned from my mistakes, and feel I could repeat them exactly.

*reads "a large wet almost naked lady" and almost passes out due to most of the blood which was in his head going off to fill another body part*

Slander and libel are both covered by the term "defamation". There's a good explanation in the <./>HouseRules-Defamation</.>
--------
smiley - moonExposing the individual or organisation to hatred, ridicule or contempt;

smiley - moonCausing the individual or organisation to be shunned or avoided;

smiley - moonLowering the individual or organisation in the estimation of right-thinking members of society; or

smiley - moonDisparaging the individual in their office, profession or trade or the organisation's office, profession or trade.
--------
Is there a clause in your exit package agreement that states that you are not allowed to take any future legal action? Read carefully what you have signed - you may have to forfeit your pay off if you do decide on proceedings.

I'd also suggest that you are very careful about what you yourself write on here about the individuals concerned and make sure that neither you, the institution or the people could be identified, even vaguely. If you do decide to take proceedings you'd need to make sure they couldn't counter claim for slander or libel. And if there was a confidentiality clause in the agreement then you probably shouldn't write about it at all.

(I don't mean to sound negative. I have a similar exit agreement myself. Once you've cleaned the house you'll start to feel more positive. I slept a lot for about 2 weeks after I left, but I'm now back on track and keeping busy.)

I'm not really here

I can't comment on much, but I can comment about not working.

After a while I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. smiley - winkeye It took me ages to get used to it, which is why when I realised it could be a while before I could work again I took on a lot of voluntary work.

I am *always* too busy to do housework, even if I'm not working. smiley - biggrin Now I'm back out there I am loving it again, but just like when I was at the Beeb, I wish it were closer! When this work finishes next week I'm going to have the summer off then start looking again. J seems so settled, and with door-to-door transport he can let himself in if I'm working.

I could sue because I had an excellent solicitor who made then take clauses out before I signed it as I may be entitled to industrial injuries or something like that.smiley - ok
But to be honest,the more I hear the more I am laughing now.smiley - laugh They are idiots and are going to come unstuck with out any help from me.They offered someone my old job even though they were told the job is gone and will not be replaced..I was the job if you see what I mean.That means some one else may be taking legal action.
Anyway not my problem. It's the students I feel sorry for, they are missing out .Me, I am looking forward and getting my health back smiley - biggrin

P.S. Have you recovered yet TB falsenamesmiley - rofl
