I hate wearing in shoes. I have 3 pairs at the moment all discarded for being so hard on the feet. I need to wear at least one pair in as my favourites are dropping to bits. So I shall limp about today and hope one pair starts to wear in...it's either that or cut off a couple of toes.....
It's raining again....on the bright side I don't have to water the plants....but also I can't go out or hang out the washing.
I am going to have to re-plant some lettuce. It rained that hard the seedlings got washed away.
I saw a solicitor last week about my work situation. He was a very dapper young man,that Roy would have called "camp" but....he was a shark. He knew his stuff. Appearances can be deceptiveI have passed on his words to personnel...I await their reply with interest
I am still struggling on the reduced medication but determined to stick it out if I can so I can have the tests done
Otherwise apart from the cat in the night ...Baggins didn't come home until 1.30am the night before last and woke up the whole road digging at the door to be in....it's all quiet chez Tabs.

I love shoes but they don't like me I have some with cat faces on ...but they are so hard , worse than Doc Martens.

Hubby tells me off, because I don't even wear slippers

slippers are dangerous..they tend to fall off your feet..and the name ..slippers..sounds dangerous to me Lil

Three tips.
1) Wear new shoes for up to two hours a day around the house and after a week they should be pretty broken in.
2) Leather can be softened buy boiling and beating with a hammer to tenderise it.
3) Try buying shoes that actually fit you.

Good advice, but some people just have delicate feet, and all shoes - no matter how soft and fitting, will give them blisters at first.

I just noticed that last one I put up sounds rather pratronising and condescending, sorry, I meant you should make sure that shoes really fit you.
It's surprising how many people buy shoes which don't fit them properly as we tend not to get our feet measured correctly anymore and just go by how long our feet are, ignoring shape, height and width.

Yes, I never bother with the shoe size as long as the shoes look good.

You're right, though, it's very difficult these days to find shoes that I want, which I can afford, and which fit properly.

Well I have two slightly different sized feet so I used to have to get my feet measured properly in order to avoid excruciating amounts of pain...then I realised that if I just went one size bigger and wore thick socks it solved the problem.
Modern shoes, though, don't give me the problems I used to get, must be these newfangled synthetic fabrics they use.
