Please take care to stop eating before you get to the styrofoam insulation. It doesn't taste as good as peas.

What actually were the symptoms - if any - prior to the opp?

By game butcher, I suppose you are not referring to someone who always tries to bend the rules to win the game, no matter what.

I never had any symptoms, and they only discovered the enlarged aorta by chance..
If left untreated eventually it would rupture and be fatal. So it had to be opperated on..

Quiet day today, defrosting freezer, so it cam be taken away tommorow..
May visit the pub later tonight smiley - ale

I hope you didn't have to pay for those cracked weights...

Trouble getting the number of steps the last few days. As a trigger I just entered a Santiago de Compostella challenge on my smartwatch. (you finish once you have accumulated the mileage) I'll let you know when I virtually get there.

Been celebrating midvinterblót aka midwinter solstice today in the southernmost town of the nordic countries. Even if this years it's actually tomorrow that will be the shortest day of the year. Go figure.

Our German friends - The Rostock Seals - couldn't participate because a storm forced their ferry to stay in harbour for hours. As the name indicates they are winter bathers but swimming in the sea would probably have been dangerous anyway in this weather.

I guess you are right. Our massive storm surge barrier (Maeslantkering) automatically closed for the first time ever since it was built in 1991-97, so it must have been bad.

Now I wonder what the Southernmost town is.

Gedser, Denmark

Good thing you built that barrier in good time. I hope it lasts!

Thanks, that's what I guessed when looking in Google Maps. Given certain sensibilities in Scandinavia, I thought I'd ask. (Saw a T-shirt in Oslo, Norway, with a map where all of Sweden was replaced with water)

I think it did, because my feet are still dry and the alarms didn't go off.
