GreyDesk Posted Jan 8, 2007
Oi! Sprouts are one of my all time favourite vegetables.
The trick is to know how to cook them properly. And if you can crack that, then they turn out lovely

I haven't had sprouts in a "striped North American forest rodent's"* age. My mother hates them so she never made them. I don't cook at home so I don't make them and I don't know of any restaurants that will serve them.
I wouldn't mind having some right now.
*Stupid filter

One of my best recipes with sprouts is to coarsely chop them, add in some fried sliced mushrooms, some mashed up roasted chestnuts, a handful of peanuts, a few breadcrumbs and nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste. Add an egg to bind the mixture. Then stick it all in a loaf tin and into a medium oven for 40 minutes or so.
Deee-licious

Well, said rodent is spelt nearly the same as a rude word for coloured man, and teh filter can't tell the difference between them*
*Yes, I am aware that there's a racist joke just waiting to happen there, but I'm resisting.

Write it out in full, don't shorten it and it will pass.
