Now, don't be diplomatic. We know we have you quaking on the liminal zones of abject nervous collapse with the difficulty of keeping any journal on the rails. I've even heard that the price of Baoding Balls has gone through the roof south of the Mason Dixon Line.

You just said that to make me go look up the words 'Baoding Balls'. (At first, I thought those must be Chinese bowling balls...)
It is true, alas. There is very little difference between a Gheorgheni journal discussion and, say, a random page of the script to 'The Bald Soprano'.
Surrealism rules!

Elektra says: 'What a clever and fun thing to do.'
It reminded us of university - we played the 'Hallelujah Chorus' and 'Joy to the World' on cafeteria glasses. (It took all of us a week to mark the levels with nail polish. The cafeteria people were nice about it.)
What a joyous addition to the Christmas concert, thank you, HN.

Thanks for that, KB.
Apparently, carolling has gone to the next level. How about flash-mob carolling? In the food court, no less:

Wow, I caught up with this thread just as it went back on topic? Incredible!
On the Christmas songs front, I've just been recruited earlier this morning to sing second alto in Camille Saint-Saëns' Oratorio de Noël in the church on Christmas day, with the first and only practice earlier this evening. Let's just say it will be....interesting
Lots of room for mondegreens in there, too, though, since the text is in Latin and it's easier just to make up your own words. (Like some people do with Hannes Wader... )

It's not that there's anything *wrong* with Hannes' lyrics. I just prefer *my* version after I've taken him for a walk through the Twilight Zone. You'll enjoy it - it's fun!
I'm sure it'll be great. If you can keep a bar-room of County Clare farmers enthralled with a German folk song, your powers know no bounds.

Aha! Of course our friends on the internet have supplied them.
Here: http://www.angelfire.com/ut/angusville/songs.html
And that's not a Youtube, so the grumpy spoilsports over in the Ask community can sit on it. I dare any Hogswatch atheists to show up over here and claim the Hogfather doesn't exist.
