Can They Read This Anywhere? WikiLeaks and the Swedish Pirates

Before somebody complains that this was offtopic, let us remind ourselves of two facts:
1. We are discussing the oppression of the masses by manipulative governments, and the possibility that court systems might be outdated, byzantine, corrupt, or just plain incompetent (except, of course, in Sweden).
2. A proven technique for dealing with evil in high places is to laugh at it. (There's a fair bit of irony in the Bible, but it often gets lost in the pious translations.)

Next update: Assange is out on bail, some of it from Michael Moore, who puts his money where his mouth is.

From what we heard earlier, Mr Assange will be relieved, as he will no longer be forced to watch British daytime television.

What's wrong with Dr. Who reruns?
Actually I have no idea what's on British daytime TV. Or American daytime TV.
Mr. Nerd and I didn't hook up cable. We are neo-Luddites, which is to say we have Netflix.

Great connection, neo-Luddites and Netflix.
We have cable because it comes with the rent, but leave the set off and use Netflix, too. ) With a computer, it is possible to avoid commercial interruptions...
I am assuming the Dr Who reruns are on at night. If he had to watch soaps, he should probably contact the European Court.

Why do we need more openness and information? What is the correct English translation of 'glasnost'? How do we get some, Mr Gorbachev?
Wikileaks are not the only people trying to break through the noise of western self-involvement to get people to wake up and smell the coffee.
Elektra and I have just finished watching 'The Prisoner: Or How I Planned to Kill Tony Blair'. (Mr Yunis Abbas didn't, of course, plan to kill Mr Blair. Mr Abbas is obviously a brave, honest individual we would all be proud to know.)
If you have Netflix, watch it now. If not, here's the info:

Bel, when Germans say they are disturbed by their country's history, at least they are talking about the past.
An excellent review:

I still refuse to join major social networking platforms and am distraught at how more and more minor lesser known ones seem to think that through imitation of the major ones they will garner a larger slice of the usage pie.

Gets lonely though; people are using them instead of community bulletin boards too lately. >.<
Eh, I stand by some of my principles though.
