Well, it's the needing to be accurate bit that causes problems with all weapons under the circumstances of a zombie uprising.

I have to disagree with that! a pump action is one of the few weapons that has suficient ompth, to be able to take out a sufficient large area of the zombie to incapicitate it, a shot to the head, neck or upper chest area with a pump action, will render most zombies to all effect, dead

What happened to 'shoot 'em in the head, it's the only way to be sure.'?

Basically, that is still the Goernment recommeded way of dealing with the evil little undead critters and thats the advantage of teh pump action; its a big enough spread o killing power to get em in the head area even if the main point of hit is in the chest, at the end of teh day, no matter how undead the ritter is, if you blow enough of it to kingdom come, it'l not be able to do no more dammage. It worked for me the last time we got an infestation of teh critters over in Norfolk

I am sure that if I remeber the early works of Mr Peter Jackson that even small parts of an un decapitated zombie can ocntinue to attack...

Yeh, kind of, but they ain't going to be able to kreep up on you and attack you once they've got no legs arms or torso

One should of course regard the works of Mr Jackson and other dramatisers such as Mr Romero witha pinch of salt. Although they do contain useful tips, it must be remembered that they are *fictionalized* accounts of what may or may not be genuine events.
Again, with a huge amount of research, Brooks offers by far and away the most authoratative overview of outbreaks of this kind from pre-history to the modern day, as well as lessons that may be learned from the espisodes. The first lesson to be learned that is that governments are woefully unprepared for the coming crisis and their 'sanctioned methods' should not always be trusted.

Yep.
As an aside, I can heartily recommend the 'dalek survival guide', which is in a similar vein. (is that the right sort of vein?)

SLG has a copy. We found the hints on how to ride a dalek a trifle fanciful. Otherwise a very useful field guide.

Ah, you'll make a geek of her yet.
Incidently, are you a small threat, or a threat to small children?

It's a lyric from Good Charlotte's 'This is The Anthem', and I suspect as such carries both meanings, in a sarcastic sort of 'ignore me, I'm just a rock star (but your kids love me and listen to me)' kind of way.

I shall take your word for it- I've enver heard of them. Me and modern music are not really on speaking terms.

I know. They are quite shouty in a punk sort of way but most of their message is a supportive one for kids, rather than beoing snotty brats themselves.

Well, that makes a change, certainly. If I venture into a music store in the near future I will try and remember the name.
