A new mouse. Wheee!

Over the past few months I've been having trouble with my computer's 
. This week it finally gave up the ghost and failed to communicate with the computer in any way, so I just took it down the old coach house. They were busy doing some programming, so I had to leave it for an hour, but when I went back they said it didn't work at all, so I bought a new one. The old mouse had a PS2 plug, so they sold me a new one also with a PS2 plug so as not to waste a USB port.
"What USB port?" I didn't ask.
Anyhow, I can once again point and click with the best of them, but I keep reaching for the keys by mistake.

You should've said. I've got a spare mouse which came with my new base unit.

My mouse is eight years old now, and it still works most of the time.

It's only very recentle I've dispensed with my veteran rollerball, indeed. And now I've got two mouses!

I like my new mouse. They clearly had it marked out as mine because it's got "genius" written on it.
The previous one must have been getting on a bit. I think it came with the computer, which came with Windows 98.
