They had different shapes on their heads. Tinky-Winky had a triangle, which is why was gay, obviously.

*deliberately ignores Rev Jack's comment*

I heard about it at the time, so it's not a shock. Nevertheless I'm going to watch the video again to cheer myself up.

I like the ones where the path for the bearing is formed by the bearing itself hitting stuff.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Er, remember what started this thread off...

http://www.nhk.or.jp/youho/pitagora.html

Now, I know we're not supposed to post links to websites in foreign languages, but since this website is NHK - which I guess is the Japanese version of the BBC - I don't think there's likely to be anything naughty there.

The clips are, so I'm told, from a kids show and people are invited to build models of machines designed by Rube Goldberg, who was the American version of Heath-Robinson. This is what my email acquaintance in Japan said:

"The video looks like a collection of bits from an NHK
educational channel show called Pitagora Switch (from
Pythagoras' switch(es)?) --
http://www.nhk.or.jp/youho/pitagora.html
I haven't seen the show, but this kind of thing
sometimes is done as a contest for high school or
college kids."

You'll notice the green oblong with the yellow lettering is the same as that at the end of each of the clips in the video.

So now you know smiley - ok

smiley - ta BH. The words do sound a bit like "pitagora suichi".

I'm fairly sure Da Bungalow never had anything this smiley - cool in it.
