This journal might not make a lot of sense because I'm aware I'm pretty unwell, and people are telling me I'm not making much sense.
But it helps to post here because I love h2g2.
But it's occurring to me that it really is finally end of Empire. It's embarassing to realise how upset I am about it. But its good to be honest. BBC World Service is to be castrated.
Thank god I found this version of Land of Hope and Glory on YouTube. Of course its sung on the BBC last night of the Proms. I love the BBC proms, wonderfully filmed and of course there's ace music.
There's this north American guy, dunno if he's a Yank or Canadian, conducting it, and he totally gets that this is a nation built on tea, because he says that just before the encore.

This is *your* journal, Effers, be as incoherent as you like.
We've all been knocked a bit sideways since Monday morning. Things are afoot, however, and I don't think you'll lose us that easily.
I hope you feel more like yourself soon.

Messages hugely appreciated guys.
The bit that always gets me in 'Land of Hope and Glory' is 'Mother of the free' especially about it being mother.
I like the idea that people can sit down together over a cup of tea and really say it how it is.

And for the record, you made perfect sense in that post... AT least to me... Quite possibly more coheriant than I've managed to ever be in nearly ten years balancing dafodils on my nose whilst posting to this site
We're not finished yet, not by a long long shot, Seriously... We're not only going to survive this, we'll come out the other side stronger than we went in.

And thanks so much.
What's worrying me is that if I'm this upset about the death of the BBC, how will I cope with the death of my parents?
For me its all about the BBC, and if people don't get it - too bad.
Thanks Magwitch.

know what you mean
they are taking human out of it and just having AI automated output
even when the only researcher was yourself, you could still find someone to chat to, even if it was in the archers or POV.
now it will be
LOOK HOW BRILL WE ARE AT THE BBC, TELL EVERY ONE YOU KNOW HERE..........!!!??(bbc not responsible for external sites)

Yeah and I got an email today from someone at the BBC thanking me for me email, and I don't even remember sending them one. Maybe I did, who knows.
But yeah its the lack of human.
