Babel17 Started conversation Mar 12, 2004
Simple question:
I was there, where were you?
Take your time.

Well I certainly enjoyed it. Robert Swan was an excellent speaker, as was Douglas' sister, and his brother made an interesting auctioneer. Watching all those other lucky people get some fantastic auction lots (not to mention the raffle prizes) was less fun.
I definitely plan to go again next year... and I hope a lot of other people do. As OA says, where were you all, on this important commemorative occasion?

I told you, I don't have two brass farthings to rub together at the moment and am living on bread, beans and super noodles

LOL listen to the pair of you!
Anyway, stop hijacking my serious question thread
This is a disgruntled person here, disgruntled because of the lack of h2g2 faces who attended the Memorial Lecture of a man who's very being is the reason that most of us came here.

Actually, to be brutally honest, I didn't even know it had been and gone... it would have been nice if there'd been something posted to the official h2g2 announcements page...

Lets face it EV, the less said about DNA here, the better, as far as BBCi is concerned.
Still, if you look on my page you will see another 2DAML thread, which is a similar q I posed over on ask h2g2 plus, once you have read it, you will now have no excuse not to remember for next year. I have even added when, where, and who's proposed to be speaking
