Kittens, dates and war
a girl called Ben Started conversation Mar 17, 2003
A bizzare mix of a day.
I have finally got my two kittens: a couple of British Blues called Archer and Aitken. Archer is attacking the cusions on one of the sofas, (quite clearly they are full of dangerous mice and even more dangerous small birds). Aitken is watching him. I think they are about to spend the next two hours tearhing the place to pieces.
GTB and I have finally got dates for the Rolling Meet - so if you are in the US, please check out the page U217918 and let us know if we can meet you too!
And finally - who the hell am I kidding, talking about kittens and holidays? Tomorrow is the start of the Second Gulf War, and what could quite possibly be the Third World War. Let us hope it does not in fact prove to be what the 1914/1918 war was described as being: "The War to End All Wars".

Be warned it is very dangerous naming your cats after politicians.
Some friends once named their kitten Rosa after the great feminist and revolutionary leader, Rosa Luxemburg. The cat turned out to be a complete air head

I'm praying that Bush and his cronies have visions tonight in their sleep that will convince them to stop rushing the people of the world to their doom.
I'm praying that they will finally see the connections they will sever in their madness for power and riches and think again.
I'm praying the schedule can be changed for the better and that courage and integrity will triumph over avarice and fear.
We're going to need a miracle I think.

Tomorrow? It's at least five days away!
You have to laugh, or else you'll cry.
Give your kittens a hug from me and I will hug Jack and Sussudio for you.

Willdo, as soon as I get them developed and scanned. At the moment I don't have a digital camera. Best to wait a couple of weeks, I think, I will post in this thread when they are done.

Re war, have you seen Pin's poem on it? It's quite fantastic. <./>A990920</.>

Just read it. That man continues to amaze me with everything he writes.

I know: he obviously has a Midas pen: everything he writes turns to gold.

I'll only get *really* jealous if he can do fiction too. I can do verse, poetry (on occasions), rants, humour and thought, but I just can't do fiction. If he can be fictive as well as effective then I will !

I can do most of things as well. But well? I don't know!
I used to write fiction when I was at school, but don't anymore.
Mostly I write poetry and put it in my journal.

I used to have a rabbit called Huxley, named after Aldous Huxley.
I wish I didn't live in rented accomodation, and could have pets again. I have a far healthier respect for animals than people...

Do you care nothing for their psychological well-being? Names like those could sap the karma from a saint!

Tomorrow. I think I am then going to change my name officially to "a biddy called Ben" - sounds so sweetly old-ladyish, doesn't it! My role model is Gytha Ogg - she is no mean witch, and has MUCH more fun than Esme Weatherwax.
How are you, fwt?

Best wishes for tomorrow Ben- have a for me. Surely making yourself sound sweet and old-ladyish breaches the trade descriptions act?
