In an hour or two the cable channel Trio is showing the autopsy which caused so much controversy when it was shown on British TV last year... Channel Four wasn't it?

I'll be watching it, although it's not the first telvised autopsy I've seen - there was one on late night HBO last year, and I don't think it was the first they've shown. It was very matter-of-fact and was shown with a black background outside of the immediate area - a bit like... Face to Face, or Charlie Rose.

From the trailer I've seen for this one, it looks as if it was filmed very differently.

Oh, I think you probably would Paul.

I must say, it was something of an anti climax. The HBO one was far more informative and educational because the focus was purely on the body and what the pathologist was doing to it. Everything in this one was in longshot (or blurred out because you simply can't show any genitalia on American tv... even dead ones smiley - erm). Ever since I can remember I've been interested in anatomy and have wanted to see the inside of a human body. Still do. Didn't see it tonight.

Kind of ironic that the following programme is a 90 minute documentary about Bill Hicks's fight with censorship, including a scene from one of his rants against the banality of American mainstream tv and bands like New Kids on the Block.

The Trio channel is halfway to becoming as good as Channel Four was during its first 10 years, and that's no bad thing at all.
