Mrs Gosho and I watched The Matrix Reloaded last night. For my part I thought that it was almost as good as the first Matrix film, although there was a certain amount of content which I thought superfluous and unnecessary, like the dancing scene in Zion.
However, one scene in particular which caught my attention was when Neo was in the room with The Architect. It's the bit where The Architect is describing how perfect the 1st Matrix was and how it came crashing down as a result of the imperfection inherent in each human being.
The screens around the room begin to show various images of evil such as Hitler, and an atomic explosion. At the point where The Architect mouths the words "...the grotesqueries of human nature", the faces of both George Bushes (Daddy Bush and Dubya) can clearly be seen.
Fascinating.

Hi, Gosho.
I never got to see the first Matrix movie, so I
was a little leery about watching the second one.
I dallied too long, and it was gone from the theaters
by the time I worked up the courage to see it.
As for papa Bush and his offspring being shown as
examples of human grotesquery in "The Matrix Reloaded,"
I am sure there will be some who will quibble with
the "human" part of the sentence.
Also, the American electorate has been known to elect
and re-relect some pretty grotesque politicians--just as
long as the economy did well. Our economy has, in fact,
just surged. The upward movement is coming early enough
to help Dubya get some votes in next year's election.
The war is an intangible; daily news reports of G.I.'s
coming home in body bags can undermine an incumbent
president's chances of re-election. If the opposition
party's candidates are not strong, though....

The good thing is the extra DVD with bonus material you can see when you've finished the two movies.
(Checks DVD and notices Saddam in the same picture as Bush and Bush)

I did notice another face which I thought looked like Saddam but I couldn't be sure.
I watched a documentary on the DTMS channel a few hours ago about Saddam... he was really quite a nasty piece of work wasn't he.

Gosho did they show the footage of the roll call where S. calls the names of those to be killed in his *party* - family?

the second matrix is utterly rubbish. the first was good, but not the revelation everyone says it is.
the scond was horrendous. unrealistic fight scenes interspersed with meaningless and infantile philosophy. too much cgi, too much action. no cool. too big budget.utter dross.

Come on UH, stop beating about the bush and speak your mind
Do you mean the scene in parliament where he called out names and the people were led out to be executed while Saddam calmly smoked a cigar abbi? Yes, they showed that.

We saw both the first two Matrix films on DVD, but since it's the kind of film you really need to see on the big screen, we're going to see the final one at the flicks later this month.
And you really don't want to believe everything that Unc says Paul
