Sorry for the interjection, I came across your post via the 'info' page.
Is it not amazing that people can so hugely misunderstand evolution?
I am increasingly of the opinion that the sooner our sun goes nova and wipes us all out the better.
Anyway, Hello! I'm Roymondo (or, more accurately, Dave) and am currently awake by virtue of JD & Coke.

I saw the post to the 'Creation /Evolution Debate' thread but would rather not reply there: worms are best kept in their cans!

Ah, hello all!
Sprite and Jim Beam on this end. Yeah, it reminds me of two concepts. One is that you have to listen for the whole idea before you anticipate where the conversation is going, the other is that when the mouth is open the brain is closed.
Hope y'all got a good smile out of it...

BTW, that is hello to you and JD.

I really think that as individuals we (well, "my" kind of people anyway) have incredible potential, but as a species we manage to undo it all.

Hi ouiskiandzoda, difficult name. Somehow your saying you have temporarily stopped evolving touched me. It sounded like a cry for help. I know you will get out of this stasis, if that is what it is called, everything passes, everything changes and life goes on somehow. Banalities, yes, I know, but write it all down. It helps a lot! Sorry about your husband, I know how that feels. But with your humour, and being able to laugh about yourself, you are on your way... Love, F

Hi. Thanks for the note. Sorry I didn't get back sooner, I've been working extra hours plus doing some home improvement projects. It looks like you've been spending waaaayy too much time in funeral homes too. Sorry to hear that. Yes, sometimes I feel a little stuck; but I don't often feel like I'm losing the progress I've made anymore. It's been at least a year and a half since I've thought that I want to spend a day "not being me." For a long time I just wished I could stop being a widow, with all the decisions and responsibilities--and the "cleaning up" of what he left (materially and obligations, too). I don't think we ever really "get over" someone, we just get better at living without them. How long ago were your losses?

Oh, my researcher name is Adams' spelling of whisky-and-soda. From the books, you know. My in-laws are gin-and-tonnic people.
