Filling in Space
hygienicdispenser Posted Oct 27, 2009
When I wrote the above, I really was just filling in space, to make my shiny new home page look a little less empty. But the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of the Universe just being placeholder text. I wonder what the real thing will look like?

No problem. I've spent a while today going through old QI's (only discovered it yesterday). They really are, um, quite interesting, though I've found very little that I could have answered. I'm going to spend the next half hour going back some more, then I'm off to ring the bells for Remembrance Sunday.
Cheers.

We've been going now for about three years and there are soem fabulous ones in there.
When I want a little pick me up, I occasionally read the backlog of QI threads.

I knew the vicar of Stiffkey! And I'm fairly sure it's pronounced Stewkey.

Just realised I'm allowed to Google. Wiki says - sometimes pronounced Stewkey, becoming obsolete.

When I found out about it - it sound familiar, so I suspect I may have heard the tale once before but forgotten it.
I'm currently working on one more QI*; found out this particular factoid the other night but am still researching the where's whys and wherefore before I can get to putting the question up.
*plus the two or three others I've had on the back-burner for months, that I just can't get a good question going for.

Well google's allowed after the fact, but I try to make my questions deliberately obtuse and awkward, if anyone leaps in with the right answer it'd be rather suspicious so I habitually remind everyone not to google or use wiki when I start a thread.

Just a thought.
If you want to use it, this is the Guideml code from my personal space, advertising The QI Society
You can copy and paste it into your space, and switch it into GuideML - and hey presto! - something to replace the Lorem Ipsum.

Woo hoo. That's great. Thanks Clive. I'm so impressed, I'm actually going to use a smiley.
I've written several things to replace the lorem ipsum, but never quite hit on something I liked. I'll get there eventually.
Read your interview in the post - excellent.
