the aim of all geeks is to find a geekess to talk about star trek with.

i'm too geeky to be considered "normal" by the "normal" people, but not geeky enough to be a geek...

are you a punk or a bohemian then?
I doubt you believe in destruction of the order so I'd weigh more on the bohemian, there are a number of qualities of geekyness that you may or may not have. collecting things, understanding of systems before the people behind them. inventing things ect ect.
Most of all I think the strongest quality is just not caring what other people think.

and being cool, if you're not cool, you're just a nerd. Oh and believing that a more acurate and truthfull version of the phrase 'If it ain't, broke don't fix it' is 'If it ain't broke, it obviusly doesn't have enough features yet'

cool according to who? Mwhahaha.
yes geeks are cool nerds because they don't give a hoot.
if it ain't broke, it's not got enough features but when I tried to add the new features it wasn't written elegantly and I had to invent a whole new art to make it work again.

i don't think i'm bohemian...i'm not from bohemia, nor am i that interested in music or literature...i like art, but i wouldn't say it was in a bohemian sense...and i wouldn't say i ignore the general rules of society...
as for punk, whoa...apparently it used to mean prostitute...pretty sure i'm not one of those
hmm...i'm not dry, rotted wood used for tinder either...i'm not heavily into body piercing (i do'nt even have my ears pierced!) or strange hairstylesand colours...well, not *that* strange...
soo...do'nt think i'm either of those...i think i'm uncategoriseable

Your thinking about it wrong, it's not about strait catigorisation but sliding scales. how much of a punk are you?
f**king b**ch!
Clelba Posted Apr 25, 2004
it can't really be a sliding scale though, cos those both have similarities and differences (the main similarity being the rejection of society...which i haven't done) and there are other things you can be...
hmmm
i still maintain that i'm uncategoriseable...

a sliding scale from 0% to 100% of the ideals and nuances is certainly possible.
f**king b**ch!
Clelba Posted Apr 25, 2004
oh, ok...two sliding scales not one between the two...i misunderstood...
well, i once heard of punk as meaning just individual, dressing how you like etc, not necessarily reminiscant of 80s punk and all that...so i guess i'm more punk...

i could be, but i'm pretty sure i'm not...
going by this definition:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=greebo
well, to start with, since it's used as an insult, i don't think i'd call myself one
i do enjoy extreme sports, but not to an extreme degree, and rock and alternative music (among other genres)...but i prefer tight fitting jeans...although, to be fair, i don't mind as long as they fit well...i like them loose at the bottom
um
but this isn't about my jeans preferences, this is about me...i'm definitely not* a townie, so you could have hit somewhere pretty close to the head of the nail...hmm...

nah, being a greebo is cool and the term is only used as an insult by dumb a$$ trendies and other types of sheep. Also baggy pants arn't compulsory it's more a case of wearing what you're comfortable in rather than what fashion dictates.
