It is a source of great amusement to you that of all the cards and presents people sent to welcome the Comet into the world it is glaringly obvious which are the ones from your family. Both sides.
In a world where the girls aisle is pink, pink and oh, look, there is some more pink, your relatives have managed to find the rare unisex cards, clothes and fluffy toys.
You are unsure whether this is because they are that right on, or whether they think you are. A bit of both, probably, especially as one of the things about being older parents of older parents is that you were damn nearly born in the sixties to people who had been fully exposed to the corrupting influence f those damn hippies. Your mother was certainly mildly disapproving of the modern habit of aggressively colour coding by sex. In her day, she said, sniffing, the in colours for babies were green. Or possibly yellow.
But you are afraid, given your Grandad’s utter shock when you got married in white, it is the latter.
You really were a most opinionated teenager.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
