Burny... But I'll talk to you on the other thread.

I tend to derail threads, otherwise.

...which leaves this thread, once more, open to discuss the chances of a Berlin minimeet, to discuss social life and to discuss whatever (or the meaning of life, if that floats your boat. Now, my take on the meaning of life is quite unique in that it is, erm, unique, but I seem to have forgotten what it was...)
So - Berlin and Women, I guess. (Insert smiley of your choice)
Y.

Berlin? Too big, in my opinion.

Nonono, Berlin is not too big, at all. Once you learned to disregard all the areas that don't really matter, Berlin is just a conglomerate of a few nice villages. I happen to live right next to one...

I made the mistake of walking four tube stations once because I thought it would be as short a distance as four stations are elswhere - took me all morning to get from the Boxi to the museums by the Alexanderplatz!

If Boxi means what I think it means, it is not so far away from where I live. It would be, in fact, the area of my choice for any mini-, maxi-, or whatever-meet...
Please tell me you mean "Boxhagener Platz/ Boxhagenere Straße"?

Yes, that's where my cousin lives, so when I'm in Berlin, I'm there...

Not so very far from there is a bar called "Destiny". It is on Frankfurter Allee. Nothing spectacular in any way, but the Bahama Mama they mix there is just the best I have ever tasted.

Trust me, they do... I am just checking recipes on the net, but none of them come close to what you get at that bar. "Alcohol content 15%" - ha! They gotta be kidding.

Less lemon, I am afraid. More on the sweet side of life.
This recipe might be closer to the mark:
1 oz. Coconut Rum
1 1/4 oz. Gold Rum
1 1/2 oz. Nassau Royale Liqueur
2 oz's. Orange Juice
2 oz's. Pineapple Juice
Dash of Angostura Bitters (optional)
1/6 oz Grenadine
1 Cherry and/or Slice of Orange
The amounts will differ in favor of the rum, I guess. Plus, one of the main ingredient has the ominous "60%" tag attached...

Ah, the joys of . Never liked it when I was a kid. Then when I lived in Minnesota the first time, we had goats and milking them was part of my daily routine. And suddenly I found myself liking milk. When I came back to Germany, I tried to keep up this habit but coudn't, somehow.

I hate goat milk, it tastes of goat...
But as a kid, I knew the cow my milk came from personally, her name was betsy and she belonged to the neighbours.
Key: Complain about this post
