I know what was announced, but I am an eternal optimist. I am sure something survived and we'll be treated to a show in early December. We shall seesmiley - cdouble

{Jon Culshaw was on the news earlier, being interviewed about the comet. He was touted as "the presenter of the BBC's The Sky At Night"}

I truly believe that whoever is sitting in that chair they are merely channelling Patrick Moore from the other side of the galaxy.

I was at Mum's real early in the hopes of catching the morning carer, I did, but she didn't have any new drug sheets or Warfarin sheetssmiley - erm so I rang the care firm *again* and left a message on their answer machine that we had run out of space to record the Warfarin doses and I needed to write up a new drug sheet for December starting tomorrow. Wouldn't you think they'd be better organised for this important job? The lunch carer didn't have anything for me but she could see I was stressed about it so she rang her on-call number, and they *promised* (yet again) that the new sheets would be delivered by tonight.smiley - groanI am not there again until tomorrow morning and too late for the morning carer, who I hope will have the initiative to dish out the correct drugssmiley - grr

I had a lovely half-hour just after lunch when my daughter Laura and her son Liam turned up to visit, she had gifts for me and Mum smiley - biggrin and I've now left Mum watching her beloved gee-gees to try and get some wrapping done, for the few gifts I've already got. I can't believe it's December tomorrow. What a year this has been. I must have had my head up my a**e when I left as I forgot to pick up my mobile phone off Mum's coffee table, and I've never left that anywhere. smiley - headhurts

This is the last NaJoPoMo 2013 journal. I wonder what next year's will contain. TTFN it's been a pleasure, I hope I've entertained those who have stuck with me until the last onesmiley - towel

I've enjoyed reading your journals. Just you remember to take time out for yourself now and again. You won't be much use as a carer if you make yourself poorly trying to do everything.smiley - spacesmiley - cuddlesmiley - spacesmiley - smooch

Thanks Bri, it's why I've come home so early. I was amazed it's the first time I've put my car away in the garage while it was still light. I've done my wrapping, I might get half-an-hour done of my jigsaw, which hasn't been touched since I reset it up in my own dining room. I'm just watching the news. What a dreadful accident in Scotland, I fear the death toll is going to be many more than they have said.

You can call me TC

Hi GB - I, too, have followed the whole thread, and hope that simply by us all being here and reading about your situation and feeling with you it has been some consolation and help for you.

The problem with the internet is that your frinds are sometimes too far away for a smiley - hug or hands-on help.

It is nice to see the family rallying round.

All the best to you and your mum.
