It is a fine word. I suspect Scandanavian origins.

It means a huge Swedish cold buffet.
I like it because you can use it to imply an amazing range of choices - for example if you're in a bar full of attractive ladies you can turn to your mates and say "Blimey, what a Smorgasbord!"
Although I do like the idea of Swedish people having to ring up the Smor Gas Board if their cooker's on the blink.

Well, this week's word is 'Quipped'. Definitely one of my favourite verbs, and judging by the way you lot carry on, probably quite popular with your good selves.

"callipygian" is definitely a favorite, much more refined than 'cute ass'

Swashbuckling. Or if you happen to be a baddie rather than a goodie, Buccaneering. I think it's the same thing, it just depends on how the person doing it is seen...

Technically speaking 'swashbuckling' is merely behaving/dressing in a flamboyant manner, you could call Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen swashbuckling, although there may well be plenty of other things you'd rather call him. Buccaneering on the other hand has the rather more precise meaning of piracy, particularly against the Spanish.

I thought buccaneeering was a half-step above outright piracy, since it was technically condoned by the government. Although I always picture the pirates as being better swashbucklers.
