It might take me a little while to get back online when I get to Leeds not sure if there's a phone connected up in my new flat. See you all soon...

Nope, I stuck with good ole BT. Granted there was a minor confusion about not switching the internet access back on at the same time as the phone line, hence the 12 hour delay, but I can live with that.

Well, I'm popping in here briefly from work, and it seems I'll get a BT phone line in tomorrow My block doesn't have ntl cable, though - so I have no choice and no cable TV.
But with luck, I'll be able to dial up my blueyonder account on an 0845 number at something like 4p a minute. It'll do until I can work out something cheaper.
I did my first half-day at work today, and kicked off by suggesting an appalling gag - we're doing a package on the Super League awards, and my sole suggestion was a line about afro-sporting Bradford Bulls player Lesley Vainikolo 'haring' down the wing.
They're going to use it though! I hope this sets the standard of my output from hereon in...

I'm sort of back now... have got BT phone line put in and can access my internet account via external dialup at a cost of something like 4p a minute in the daytime, although it goes down to 1p a minute in the evening. But given how much time I tend to spend on here, I think I will have to get some sort of alternative sorted soon.

1p to 4p per min. I suspect with the amount of time I see you around H2G2 alone, you will soon need financing.
Ebert -Oh yah I just tried GuideML for the first time. What do you think? A1308755

Yup - looks like GuideML to me.
You spelled 'olfactory' wrong, btw. Just thought I'd let you know before PR did.

Well, like I did, obviously.
I'm not in the habit of feeding people wrong spellings just for a laugh, you know.

at you two...
The thing is, I used to be online a lot at work - but this isn't going to be happening for the next three months. In fact, as my office mates had 4 computers between 5 people even before I arrived, I might not even get to check my emails much.
Hmmm.
