Um. Well.

A few of you might remember that just under a year ago I mentioned here that I'd joined a rifle club. Well. I shot in some competitions over the winter, and got through to the finals in three of them. Those finals took place today (in Chichester).
I won them all. smiley - erm
And my sister won hers as well.
I'm not entirely sure if I'm in shock or just extremely surprised... and to be honest, after I was presented with the third I wanted to run away and hide somewhere. I have to be photographed at the club with the trophies and medals as well. And someone was talking about calling the local paper... smiley - yikes I just hope the school doesn't get to hear about it. smiley - erm
But... if I want to run away and hide from all this... why am I telling you lot about it? smiley - huh

Post 4

Photos and newspapers are good things to be in (unless you're viewed in scandalous context smiley - winkeye). But assemblies?
I understand your concern now. smiley - erm

Um. Well.

Post 5

Ming Mang

Hmm. Possibly.

It has been known that the school will, if they learn a pupil has done well at something outside school, congratulate them in the weekly assembly.

Urgh... I shudder at the prospect. smiley - yuk

*Sympathy.*

Um. Well.

Post 7

Ming Mang

Yeah, exactly.

Thanks. No I just need to make sure the school don't find out... unfortunately, I think they get the local newspapers...

Hide from them, that's all I can say. Or call in sick on assembly days. smiley - winkeye

Post 12

King Cthulhu of Balwyniti

Well, they won't be inviting you to assemblies as a good example to the student body then, will they? smiley - winkeye

Um. Well.

Post 13

Ming Mang

I don't know. smiley - erm But it would definitely decrease my chances of getting into Oxford... smiley - erm

Likely you told for the same reason I put the original House Hunting on here (The original first few lines said something about my having no idea why I was writing it, as the decision was Tom's and mine...)

Congratulations, Ming! smiley - biggrinsmiley - hug

I'd challenge you to a duel-y thing. But the likelyhood of that ever actually happening are... well, slim, to put it conservatively. smiley - erm

Congratulations, nonetheless. smiley - biggrin
