Well, first week of school over, and I'm absolutely bloody exhausted...couldn't cope with my higher level math(s) class, and they took me out of it ...oh, well, still have the stats...but that class (the calculus one) left me braindead after the second lesson, and the teacher figured my ability isn't as advanced as the majority of the people taking the class....
...oh well, I'll take it later at college, when it'll be somewhat slower and less work (what I've heard from my assistant principal anyway), so no worries
Hopefully next week should run a little bit smoothly....

Don't worry CM, I'm knackered too, you always are after the first week of school, you'll feel better next week

I hope you're not too upset about dropping out of calc - I was completely confused by trig when I was a senior in high school, and dropped it after the first two weeks - never regretted it at all! I didn't really have to take it, didn't need it for graduation or college admission and certainly didn't need a failing grade on my transcript - it worked out well!
(of course, you have to realize that back in the dark ages, when I went to high school, there were no calculators to help you figure anything out, only sliderules, and I didn't have one of those - no wonder I was lost!)

Trig is ok...even calc...but it's the teacher, the way she teaches, and her expectatiions that got me....(do't get me wrong -- she's good, but very hard and demanding)

I had a crap teacher for my 2 year of SG's...ended up having to get tutored by another teacher just to pass.

I know, a tutor, how bad does that sound, but the guy was cool (a teacher from the school) and he managed to help me get a 2 in my final and that was coming up from like a 4 or a 7 or something so it was worth it.

School does have a tendancy to do that doesn't it? Gettin out of a crappy class is much better than stayinginone..at the least can't you take it over the summer or some such (if you don't want to take it later)?
still liking goo best!

i just did further maths AS
and got an A
but i'm only carrying on with normal maths...i wouldn't get an A at A2, i'm pretty sure
i mean, doesn't an A in AS further maths sound better than a B or C at A"? or does it? i'm not sure..
