Brick through computer screen time
Gwennie Posted Apr 1, 2003
Unfortunately I was too knackered to misbehave as I'd been up since 4.00 a.m. that day. To save repeating myself, if you follow this link to a recent posting, you will be able to read most of what I got up to...

*Wonders what on the nature of Linus's messages to Pan be*
It wouldn't be...rude, would it?

hell Gwennie. I only just escaped from that thread alive
When have you known either Pan or myself to be rude

Gwennie Posted Apr 2, 2003
LOL! Most chaps think we're a bunch of very scary women...
Did you read any of the backlog by the way? We have quite a few male lurkers, but only a few have been brave/stupid enough to post a message...
The Drool Thread ladies even managed sent a card to Jim Lynn in person via Coelacanth when he left for pastures new... I wouldn't be surprised if we've scared Jim sufficiently to prevent his return to h2g2 in the future...
I remember that both yourself and Pan have been rather rude at times, but not "with" one another!

I'd be no use at all. I have no idea about movie stars, tv actors, etc.
Looks like we got away with that one Pan

Neither do I! I have trouble remembering the faces of the ones I fancy, never mind their names and I usually have to ask John to remind me!
I just had an Email from Pan! Her MAC is up and running!

Gwennie Posted Apr 7, 2003
I think that it would take a lot more than backlog to keep Pan away from hootoo!
I've emailed a link to a picture of yours truly at the school reunion. Excuse the bags round my eyes as I'd been awake for over 20 hours by the time this picture was taken! It had now't whatsoever to do with the two (Yes! Only two!) vodkas I had. Well, it had got to 11.00 p.m. and I suddenly realised that on my first night out in over 12 years, I had only been drinking mineral water so quickly remedied the situation. Well, actually the chap I was sitting with bought kindly purchased the vodka!

Pan!
Welcome back!
Yes, I received the kick on the shin only a few moments after we sat down at a table in the pub where Mair, Kes and I met up and had lunch.
Mari & Kes even met my parents!
Linus, I was just too tired to drink any more and was worried that I might have fallen asleep and missed all the fun of watching my girl friends getting drunk, dancing and flirting outrageously with the chaps! (My old school was a "mixed" one thankfully!)

Very mixed, i'm sure
I thought that was the whole point of the excercise Gwennie
Doesn't sound like half as much fun watching as doing! I'm pretty sure Pan will back me up on this one...

Any lessons/demonstrations in how to misbehave will be gratefully received chaps! Please feel free to carry on...
However, I had to sit down during my night of freedom before I fell over as the floor appeared to be moving and I couldn't believe that no one else could feel it too! I asked lots of people and they all gave me looks! Of course it dawned on me when I got back to my friend Carol's house later and the floor was STILL moving, that it was due to having spent 6½ hours on trains that same day. It also most likely had something to do with my being up since 4.00 a.m. the previous morning too.
Still, despite wandering off to a table to sit down, I nonetheless managed to find myself being joined by a few chaps and they did buy me drinks too, even though I kept trying to buy a round, so I obviously haven't completely lost my touch!

I don't suppose you could dispense something stronger than to keep me awake too whilst you're prescribing stuff Pan! Don't forget that I've already received the kick on my shin...
